VS Mox 500 Capsules – Amoxycillin 500 mg
VS Mox 500 Capsules contain
Amoxycillin Trihydrate equivalent to Amoxycillin 500 mg,
a broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic used for the treatment of
susceptible bacterial infections.
Amoxycillin works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis,
thereby helping eliminate susceptible bacteria responsible for infection.

Composition
Each hard gelatin capsule contains:
- Amoxycillin Trihydrate IP equivalent to
Amoxycillin 500 mg - Excipients: q.s.
Uses
- Respiratory tract infections.
- Ear, nose and throat (ENT) infections.
- Urinary tract infections.
- Certain gastrointestinal and other susceptible bacterial infections.
Important: This medicine is effective only against
bacterial infections and should not be used for viral illnesses
such as the common cold or flu.
How the Medicine Works
Amoxycillin is a beta-lactam antibiotic that kills
susceptible bacteria by preventing the formation of their bacterial
cell wall, resulting in destruction of the bacteria.
How to Take
- Take exactly as prescribed by your physician.
- Swallow the capsule whole with water.
- Do not open, chew, or crush the capsule.
- It may be taken with or without food.
- Complete the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve earlier.
- Do not skip doses or stop treatment without consulting your doctor.
Possible Side Effects
Common side effects may include:
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Diarrhoea
- Stomach discomfort
- Skin rash
- Headache

reactions, severe skin rash or blistering, persistent or severe

Precautions & Safety

- Inform your doctor if you are allergic to penicillins, cephalosporins, or other antibiotics.
- Tell your physician if you have kidney disease, liver disease, infectious mononucleosis, or a history of antibiotic-associated diarrhoea.
- Inform your doctor about all medicines you are taking.
- Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding only if prescribed by your physician.
- Antibiotics should be used only for confirmed or suspected bacterial infections to help reduce antibiotic resistance.
