Description
VSflox-OZ Tablets – Ofloxacin 200 mg + Ornidazole 500 mg
VSflox-OZ Tablets contain a combination of
Ofloxacin 200 mg and Ornidazole 500 mg,
two antimicrobial agents used against susceptible bacterial and protozoal
infections. The combination may be prescribed when mixed infections are
suspected or confirmed, particularly infections involving the
gastrointestinal tract and certain other susceptible infections.

Composition
Each film-coated tablet contains:
- Ofloxacin IP: 200 mg
- Ornidazole IP: 500 mg
- Excipients: q.s.
Uses
- May be prescribed for susceptible bacterial infections.
- May be prescribed for susceptible protozoal infections.
- May be used when mixed bacterial and protozoal infections are suspected or confirmed.
- May be prescribed for certain susceptible gastrointestinal infections.
Important: Antibiotics should not be used for viral
infections such as the common cold or flu.
How to Take
- Take the medicine exactly as prescribed by your physician.
- Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
- Do not chew, crush, or break the tablet.
- Complete the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve earlier.
- Do not skip doses or stop treatment without medical advice.
Possible Side Effects
Like all medicines, VSflox-OZ Tablets may cause side effects,
although not everyone experiences them.
Common side effects may include:
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Diarrhoea
- Abdominal discomfort
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Metallic or unpleasant taste in the mouth

Seek immediate medical attention if you experience signs of an
allergic reaction, severe diarrhoea, tendon pain or swelling,
or any other serious adverse effects.
Precautions & Safety
- Use only under medical supervision.
- Inform your doctor about allergies or previous reactions to quinolone antibiotics or nitroimidazole medicines.
- Tell your physician if you have kidney disease, liver disease, epilepsy, tendon disorders, or other significant medical conditions.
- Avoid alcohol during treatment and for the period advised by your physician after completing therapy.
- This medicine may cause dizziness. Avoid driving or operating machinery if affected.
- Inform your doctor about all medicines you are currently taking.
- Consult your physician before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
